British Values
We proudly promote British Values to help every child thrive in a diverse and respectful community.
Promoting British Values at Thrapston Primary School
At Thrapston Primary School, we are proud to serve a diverse and ever-changing community. We celebrate the rich mix of cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds that make up modern Britain, and we are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and respected.
We actively promote the core British Values of:
-
Democracy
-
The Rule of Law
-
Individual Liberty
-
Mutual Respect
-
Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs
These values are woven through our curriculum, assemblies, and daily school life. Whether we’re learning about the Great Fire of London, exploring the rights of individuals in PSHE, or voting for school council representatives, our children are developing the knowledge and character to become thoughtful, responsible citizens.
We welcome children of all faiths and none, and we follow the Brooke Weston Trust’s commitment to equality and inclusion. No child or family is ever discriminated against based on faith, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or background.
From whole-school assemblies that promote empathy and kindness, to classroom discussions about fairness and freedom, we help our pupils understand the importance of living in a respectful and inclusive society.
Together, we are preparing our children not just for secondary school—but for life in modern Britain.
