Behaviour

Y4At Thrapston Primary School, we are committed to creating a safe, calm, and respectful environment where every student can thrive.

We hold high expectations for behaviour and encourage all students to take responsibility for their actions, treating others with kindness, tolerance, and respect. Our approach is rooted in restorative practice that promotes positive relationships and fosters a culture of self-reflection.

We believe that positive behaviour is essential for effective learning.  All staff play a vital role in modelling and reinforcing our behavioural standards, both in and out of the classroom. Students are made aware what behaviour is expected, encouraged and are supported through clear routines, pastoral care, and consistent guidance.

We recognise that some students may face challenges that affect their behaviour. Our staff work closely with safeguarding leads, pastoral team, mental health professionals, and parents to provide appropriate support and interventions.

Parents are key partners in promoting positive behaviour. We maintain open communication and involve families when concerns arise. Together, we aim to nurture a respectful, inclusive, and aspirational school community where every child feels safe and valued.
