Remote Learning
At Thrapston Primary, we are committed to ensuring that every child continues to learn and thrive, even when they are unable to attend school due to illness or other circumstances.
We understand that each child’s situation is unique. Our remote learning approach is tailored to meet individual needs, taking into account:
- The nature of the illness – whether the child is well enough to engage with learning.
- Access to technology – we provide paper-based resources if internet or device access is limited.
- Learning capability and age – work is matched to the child’s current level and stage of learning.
Where possible, we will provide digital learning materials via our secure online platforms. These may include:
- Daily or weekly learning tasks
- Links to educational videos and interactive activities
- Feedback from teachers via email or online platforms
If your child is well enough to complete work and has access to the internet, we will ensure they receive appropriate tasks to stay on track with their learning.
When your child returns to school, our staff will:
- Check their understanding of the work completed at home.
- Identify any gaps in learning.
- Provide targeted support to help them catch up and feel confident in their learning.
- We believe in working together to ensure every child feels supported and successful, both at home and in school.
- Working Together - We encourage parents and carers to communicate with us about their child’s needs. Our staff are here to support you and will work with you to ensure your child receives the right level of learning while at home.
