School Council
The School Council in Thrapston Primary School exists to give every child the opportunity to contribute to school life through School Councillors who are elected at the beginning of the Autumn Term and serve their class for a year. Older Council members represent the younger children by visiting their classes during Circle Time and meeting the children on their playground.
The School Councillors are easily recognisable by the badge they wear and their photographs are displayed on the School Council Noticeboard in the Red Kite Building.
The School Council meets on a regular basis where the Councillors chair their own meetings.
Items for discussion are collected from the classes during Circle Time assemblies. All children can add suggestions for discussion at School Council meetings by writing them on the School Council Noticeboard. The Minutes from previous meetings are also there for all to read.
