Northamptonshire Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day

We celebrated Northamptonshire Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. The children embraced the theme of It’s The Inside That Matters, wearing an item of clothing inside out and spending time talking about their feelings. We are really proud of how our school community came together again to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing, sharing the important message that sometimes, how someone looks and how they might present themselves to the outside world is not really how they are feeling. During the week, children enjoyed using the Soothe Booth in the HUB and posting their feelings into the Feelings Box.

World Mental Health Day with Young Minds (#HelloYellow)

Thank you to all who supported our #Hello Yellow day on Friday 14th of October 2022.

Thrapston Primary School took part in #Hello Yellow to raise awareness of the importance of talking about mental health and understanding it better. The school was a sea of bright and cheery yellow! Together we also managed to raise £305.54 for the charity Young Minds who help young people to get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties.
