Thrapston Primary School

Early Years

'Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up’. Statutory Framework for the Early Years foundation Stage, March 2021.

The Early Years at Thrapston Primary School consists of both Nursery and Reception children.

Our team work together to support your child through the Early Years Foundation Stage and further information on how we do this can be found below.

A new EYFS framework was implemented in Sept 2021 - attached below.

For further information please see the pages attached,

or email the school through lpeet@thrapston.net

or directly to our Early Years/KS 1 Lead Mrs Sarah McMurdo  smcmurdo@thrapston.net

If your child is in our school nursery, you still need to apply for a place in reception.
