A Fantastic start to Year 6!
What a brilliant start we've had to the year! We've extended our knowledge of the four operations in Maths; created some amazing pieces of writing in English; studied the Ancient Mayans in History and used this to inspire some wonderful masks and temples in Art. We've looked at keeping ourselves safe on the Internet and studied the work of Charles Darwin in Science. Our PSHE lessons have explored our rights and responsibilities, whilst our Music lessons have left us feeling "Happy". If that wasn't enough, we've also spent 5 days away from home on our first residential trip to Condover Hall in Shropshire. We abseiled, climbed, danced and tunnelled our way through the week and showed what a supportive and caring group we are.
We have been so impressed with Year Six over the last 8 weeks and can't wait to see what they'll achieve when we return after half term.
Here's wishing all those in Year Six, and their families, a restful week. We look forward to seeing you back on Monday 4th November.
The Year 6 team.
