Y6 Maths - 18.05.20

Activities to practise converting fractions to decimals as well as multiplying and dividing decimal numbers.

This week we're going to take our fractions knowledge further and think about decimal and percentage conversions too.

Today we'll focus on fractions and decimals.

Click on the link below and watch the video clips. These video clips will give you a reminder of the method we used in class.

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/

The videos are in the following section:

  • Summer Term – Week 5 (w/c 18th May)
  • Lesson 1 - Multiply and divide by 10 100 and 1000
  • Lesson 2 - Multiply decimals by integers
  • Lesson 3 - Divide decimals by integers

Once you have watched the videos, have a go at the activities below. The answers for each activity sheet are attached too so check how you got on at the end.

Have a look at the activities and attempt the questions that are suitable for your level of challenge. Try to pick a challenge similar to the level you'd have done in class (1 star = blue, 2 stars = green, 3 stars = white)

There are also some extension sheets if you'd like to challenge yourself further :-)

Please let us know if you have any trouble with these activities or have any questions and as always, we'd love to see what you've been up to so send us any pics/files via email :-)

Stay safe,

Ms Trowbridge, Mrs Hopper, Mrs Tarr and Mrs Hussain
