Out of this world Space Day!

Year 5 were treated to an extra special Space Day on Monday!

Last term, the children  worked so hard to learn lots of fantastic information about Space in both their Science and French lessons. To welcome us back to school after the half term holidays, we had a fantastic day learning more about space and creating some more fantastic work about this topic.

Both year 5 classes were treated to a visit to the WonderDome Planetarium which had been set up in the Hall. It was a fantastic experience and all the children loved climbing inside and watching the interactive videos. Curtis, from WonderDome, was very impressed with all the children's behaviour and their excellent knowledge of space. The children also had opportunity to ask some questions, including about how you go to the toilet in space!

Over the course of the rest of the day, the children went to the computer suite and create some wordle art using space vocabulary we have learnt, created some fantastic space art, learnt about women in space and enjoyed learning even more facts all about space.

We all had a fantastic day!
