Year 5 Home Learning 2.3.21

Terrific Tuesday Year 5! Here is your home learning for today.

Today, in English, we will be developing our news article writing skills further by exploring the use of statistics, the power of three and negative language within our writing.

In Maths, we will continue to revise finding fractions of quantities, with some of us moving onto more complex problem solving tasks.

Attached, you will also find a new set of spellings to try to learn for this week.

In Design Technology, we will be moving onto a new topic, exploring bridges. Today we will look at two bridge designs and their features, before trying to create and test out bridges of our own. Don't worry if you weren't able to gather resources needed. Have a go at drawing out some designs of your own. We can hopefully test these out when we are back at school next week.

Don't forget, continue to work on your timetables at home, maybe using the Rock Star Tables website. Also, remember to continue to practise your reading at home too. As it is World Book Day on Thursday, maybe you could tell us a little bit about the book you are currently reading?

As always, we look forward to seeing what you have been up to!
