Yr 4 Work Tasks for Friday 5th March.
English, Maths and PE tasks for Friday 5th March
Good Morning Year 4
We hope you are well and looking forward to your final day of online learning.
The answer to yesterday's quiz question is - the first World Book Day was celebrated in 1995.
It was great to see so many of you at home and in school dressed up as book characters. We will be putting photos in the Year 4 gallery later today.
Today's quiz question is still on the World Book Day theme - who is the current Poet Laureate?
Today we will start with our times tables quiz and then move onto maths where we will be rounding decimals.
Blue challenge will be to round decimals using tenths. Fewer options per question; full number lines; no 0.5s used.
Green challenge will be to round decimals using tenths. More options per question; partially labelled number lines; all tenth values used.
White challenge will be to round decimals to the nearest whole using tenths. Partially labelled number lines; unconventional partitioning used. Decimals given in words and numbers.
In English we will be working on a guided reading comprehension based on the astronaut Tim Peake.
In the afternoon we have the second of our 'Tackling Health' lessons with Northampton Saints. You have been sent the link and we look forward to seeing you between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.
If you have any questions about any of the tasks or you need us to resend the link to the PE lesson, then please feel free to email us.
We are really looking forward to having you back next week. It will be great teaching you face to face and working with you again.
We have been asked to tell you that you will come into school the same way as you did before Christmas, not on the playground, but via the front of the school.
We hope you have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
The Year 4 Team.
