Y4 Work Tasks for Thursday March 4th

English Maths and Science tasks for Thursday.

Good morning Year 4 

Happy World Book Day - did any of Wonder Class notice themselves in the picture above?

As for the quiz - the answer to yesterday's question was - the teddy bear was named after Theodore Roosevelt. 

For today's question - when was the first World Book Day?

Today (after our virtual fancy dress procession) we will have our weekly spelling test.

In Maths we will be ordering decimals.

Blue challenge will be to order decimal numbers including tenths and hundredths. To be written in numerals only without zero as a place holder.

Green challenge will be to order decimal numbers including ones, tenths & hundredths. To be written in numerals & words & include zero as a place holder.

White challenge will be to order decimal numbers including tens, ones, tenths and hundredths. To to be written in numerals and words, include zero as a place holder and exchanges.

In English we be writing our advert, followed by a class discussion on our favourite stories and authors (roll out Dr Seuss and the Lorax!).

In the afternoon we will be investigating the changing state of materials in Science. There will be Eskimos melting chocolate with Miss Gothard!
