Primary School

Work Tasks For Year 4 for Friday 26th February.

English, Maths and PE work tasks for Friday 26th February

Good morning Year 4

We hope you are well.

The answer to yesterday's quiz question is - Muhammad Ali was formerly known as Cassius Clay and he defeated Sonny Liston to become World Heavyweight Champion.

Today's question is this... Sunday will be the last day of the month, which means that Spring is almost upon us and flowers will start to grow and the days will be lighter for longer.

On Sunday (the last day of February) the sun is on course to set over Thrapston at approximately 5.40 pm.

What time is the sun due to set on the last day of March?

Today we will start with a ten minute Maths recap and then go onto our Times Tables test before moving onto our English lesson which will be a guided reading comprehension looking at adverts as our stimulus.

In Maths we will be dividing one or two digit numbers by 100.

Blue challenge will be to divide 1 digit numbers by 100.

Green challenge will be to divide 1 or 2-digit numbers by 100.

Whit challenge will be to divide 1 or 2-digit numbers by 100 where the inverse operation is required to find missing digits.

For PE in the afternoon we will be taking part in the 'Tackling Health' series of lessons being provided by Northampton Saints Rugby Club. I posted the link yesterday and it is reposted below.

The best way to access the live lessons is to copy the link and email it to yourself. Then go into your inbox, open the mail and click on the link. This does work as I tried it before writing this blog and it was successful.

We have one more week of live lessons before we return to school and we will be able to teach you face to face again! We are really looking forward to this.

Have a great weekend.

The Year 4 Team.
