Yr 4 Work Tasks for Thursday 25th February.

English Maths and Science work tasks for Thursday 25/2

Good morning Year 4

We hope you are well.

The answer for yesterday's quiz question is - The Mars Rover is called Perseverance.

Todays question is this - Above you will see a picture of famous boxer, civil rights activist and 20th century icon Muhammad Ali. On this day in 1964 he won the Heavyweight Boxing Championship for the first time (he went onto win it three times). However in 1964 he was known by a different name. What was his name in 1964 and who did he beat to win the Championship?

Today's Maths objective is to represent hundredths on a place value grid.

Blue challenge is to  recognise and represent tenths & hundredths using place value charts and partitioning. Using decimals only and all numbers less than 1 whole.

Green challenge is to recognise and represent tenths & hundredths using place value charts and partitioning. Using a mixture of fractions & decimals, & some numbers greater than 1 whole.

White challenge is to recognise and represent tenths & hundredths using place value charts & partitioning. Using some improper & equivalent fractions, decimals and all numbers greater than 1 whole.

In English we will be exploring the language features of an advert.

In Science we will be starting a new topic on states of matter and we will be exploring solids, liquids and gases.

On Friday as part of a cross curricular PE and PSHE topic, we have signed up to participate in a live learning unit of work being delivered by Northampton Saints Rugby Club about being healthy and active.
