Y4 Work Tasks for Wednesday 24th February
English, Maths and Art tasks for Wednesday 24/2
Good morning Year 4
We hope you are well.
Yesterday's quiz answer is - the vaccine that was introduced in 1954 was for Polio.
Today's question is this. In the picture you can see NASA's Mars Rover which is currently exploring the Red Planet of Mars. What is its name?
Today we will begin as usual with the times table grid. Please print it off before the session begins so everyone is ready to go at the right time.
After times tables we will be looking at the features of an advert in English. If you are in Mr Smith's class have a look at the rest of the adverts on Tuesday's Powerpoint presentation if possible, before the lesson.
In Maths we are looking at hundredths as decimals.
Blue challenge is to recognise hundredths as a decimal (in numbers smaller than one where there are always digits in the tenths and hundredths columns, excluding zero), with visual support.
Green challenge is to support recognise hundredths as a decimal ( as above , including using zero as a placeholder), some visual support.
White challenge is to recognise hundredths as a decimal (in numbers greater than one where there are always digits in the tenths and hundredths columns, including using zero as a placeholder), no visual support.
In the afternoon we will be doing Art where we will be analysing a famous picture by artist David Hockney.
As usual, f you have any questions, please feel free to email us.
The Year 4 Team.
