Y4 Work Tasks For Tuesday 23rd February 2021.
English, Maths and History tasks for Tues 23/2
Good morning Year 4
We hope you are well.
The answer to yesterday's quiz question is that we have just entered the 'Year of the Ox'.
For today, you will see in the picture that vaccines are being administered on a widespread scale to eliminate Covid 19. However on this date in 1954 vaccines were given out for the first time to combat which disease? As a clue, these used to be given on a sugar-cube (ask your parents).
For Maths today we will be recognising hundredths.
Blue challenge will be to recognise hundredths as dividing one whole into 100 equal parts. Includes counting forwards in one hundredths. With images.
Green challenge will be to recognise hundredths as dividing one whole into 100 equal parts and that one tenth is ten hundredths. Includes counting forwards & backwards in one hundredths and recognising equivalent tenths. With images.
White challenge will be to recognise hundredths as dividing one whole into 100 equal parts & that one tenth is ten hundredths. Includes counting forwards & backwards in intervals greater than one hundredth & recognising equivalent tenths. Includes unconventional partitioning & fewer images.
For English we will be exploring a non fiction genre - advertisements. We will be watching an example of an advert (found on the following link - https://safeshare.tv/x/t_Thpz4OEvk#) and answering a series of questions about its effectiveness.
In History we will be starting our topic on Anglo Saxons.
If you have any concerns or do not understand any of the tasks, please feel free to contact us.
