Good morning Year 4
The answer to yesterdays quiz question is... a sonic boom is the noise created when an object goes faster than the speed of sound (767 mph).
Today's question is this, in the picture you will see a famous world leader who was released from prison on this day in 1990. What was his name?
Today we will begin with spellings. There is no list for this week but when we return after the break we will do a spelling test with 10 random words selected this this term's lists.
In Maths we will be placing tenths on a number line.
Blue challenges will be to identify tenths as fractions & decimals on a number line. Using numbers smaller than 1 whole with all increments and measurements shown.
Green challenges will be to identify tenths as fractions & decimals on a number line. Using some numbers greater than 1 whole with all increments and some measurements shown.
White challenges will be to identify tenths as fractions & decimals on number line. All numbers greater than 1 whole with some missing increments.
In English we will gathering some more ideas and exploring necessary features to enable us to write our independent writing task of creating a poem a poem describing the moon.
In Science we will be using materials collected to construct a musical instrument which will demonstrate our understanding of pitch and volume.
There will also be an end of unit quiz for you to attempt.
