Y4 Work Tasks For Tuesday 9th February
English, Maths and Geography tasks for Tuesday 9/2.
Good morning Year 4
Mr Smith has made no effort to find the answer to yesterday's quiz question about the Superbowl, because he plans on watching it on Monday night and would rather not know the score! So the answer to this question will be revealed with today's question tomorrow (?).
So today's question is about the weather. As you are aware it is very cold at the moment, due to a storm that is blowing the length and width of the country. What is the name of this storm?
For Maths today we are looking at tenths as decimals.
Blue challenge will be to recognise & write tenths as fractions & decimals. Including numbers less than 1 & pictorial representations to support.
Green challenge will be to recognise & write tenths as fractions & decimals. Includes numbers less than 1 with a variety of pictorial representations.
White challenge will be to recognise & write tenths as fractions & decimals. Includes numbers less than 1 with limited pictorial support and some use of equivalent fractions.
In English we will be continuing our work on performance poetry and understanding the effectiveness of similes and metaphors and then creating our own still using 'What Is The Sun?' as our stimulus.
In the afternoon we will be looking at the major rivers of the United Kingdom, there will be an end of unit quiz to complete as well as the work challenges.
If you have any questions about any of these tasks, please feel free to email us.
We hope you are well and keeping yourselves warm!
