Year 4 Home Learning - Wednesday 17th June 2020

Hello!  In this blog you will find your maths, English and geography task for Wednesday. We have also included a music task we thought you might enjoy. Don’t forget to try the starter to make sure your brain is warmed up before you start.



Watch the Rio 2 trailer ( and answer the following questions:

  1. What does Pop Pop say Blue can call him?
  2. What can you tell about the character Blue? Use evidence to support your answer.
  3. How does the film company persuade the viewer to go and see Rio 2?


English Task:

We are going to write our final paragraph today! Make sure you have your pieces of paper ready from Monday and don't forget to start a new paragraph.

 On Friday, you are going to write your own persuasive text to encourage people to visit Greece. You can use information from your geography lessons to help you. You might also like to research some more information about Greece before Friday.


Maths Task:

We are going look at some symmetrical figures. Follow the PowerPoint before choosing a worksheet to complete.


Topic (Geography) Task:

We are continuing with our topic about Greece. This week we are going to explore ways in which Greece creates money from tourism and exporting it’s natural resources. Firstly, read the information on the PowerPoint. Then answer the questions on the worksheet. You can use the PowerPoint to help you.  


Topic (Music) Task:

This week we are going to learn about the pulse in music. Are you feeling brave? Try recording yourself and send it to your teachers.

It is really important to stay active! Here are a couple of ideas for this week:

Please try and read at least 5 times this week. You can read a variety of different texts. Why don't you try to read something different? You could also sign up to the library summer reading challenge. (
