Year 4 Home Learning - Monday 8thJune 2020 (Blog 2)
Hello! In this blog you will find your maths and RE tasks for Monday. We will post our next blog on Wednesday.
Explore the different types of 3D shapes that exist and their structures - from flat and curved surfaces, straight and curved edges, to vectors (corners). Watch some cool videos and the PowerPoint to research the properties of cuboids, cylinders and spheres to more complex 3D shapes such as tetrahedrons, hexagonal prisms and octahedrons.
What is the definition of 3D shapes?
In mathematical terms, a 3D shape has three dimensions. The D in '3D' stands for dimensional. In a world with three dimensions, you can travel forwards, backwards, right, left and even up and down. The ability to travel up to space and back down differentiates 3D from 2D. The world you live in is all 3D.
Please complete a worksheet attached to this blog.
