Year 3 Home Learning Friday 29.1.21
We can't believe that it is almost Friday again. Well done everyone for the fantastic effort you are putting in to your home learning, you have adapted so well to this new way of working and we could not be more proud of you! Well done Year 3!
L.O: To be able to read aloud your own poem.
Today you need to look again at the performance poetry success criteria from Monday.
Today’s task is to practise and then perform your own poem.
Read your poem to a family member and ask for some feedback to improve.
Then after a bit more practise, complete the self assessment. Perform again to a family member and ask them to assess and complete the evaluation adding in two positives and a next step.
Have fun performing!
L.O: To learn how to multiply 2 digits by 1 digit
You have worked so hard this week solving 2 digits by 1 digit multiplication calculations and problems. Today, we are going to use our new knowledge to solve some deep dive questions.
If you are going to miss the live teaching or want to go over anything again, have a look at the attached PowerPoint. For your independent task, you can choose your own level of challenge. Your resources are attached at the bottom of the blog. Again, you can choose your own method to solve these problems but remember to show your workings.
Blue Challenge: Download the blue, green and white maths challenge document – Your questions are on the page with the picture of the submarine near the top of the ocean.
Green Challenge: Download the blue, green and white maths challenge document – Your questions are on the page with the picture of the submarine in the middle of the ocean.
White Challenge: Download the blue, green and white maths challenge document – Your questions are on the page with the picture of the submarine near the bottom of the ocean.
L.O: To be able to locate countries on a world map.
You have worked really hard locating continents on a map and finding out about their geographical features. We are now going to move onto looking at countries. Can you remember what the difference between a country and a continent is? What countries have you visited? What continent are they in?
Now read through the Geography PPT week 4 PDF to remind yourself of the different continents. You can also use the clues to find out the names of different countries.
Activity: Download the Geography independent learning week 4 PDF – There are a lot of worksheets on the PDF but please don’t do them all.
We would like you to complete worksheet 2A. Use the world map on page 5 to help you label the different countries in the world.
Extension: Keep scrolling down the same PDF until you find the table on worksheet 2D. How many countries can you think of that belong to each continent?
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
