  • Year 3 Spellings

    Published 12/01/21

Attached below are the spelling lists.

The year 2 spelling lists document shows the progression for the children who are currently working on lists labelled B1a, B1b etc. These are the year 2 common exception words.

The year 3 spelling lists 1-9 are all of the year 3 common exception words.

The spelling lists 10-20 cover the year 3 homophones as well as year 3 prefix, suffix and other spelling rules.

Please continue to practise the list you have been given. However when you are confident at spelling those words, you could move onto the next list. If you are currently on list 20 it would be good to practise again any of the words you find the trickiest. Please email us if you are not sure what list your child is currently working on.

    Published 11/01/21

Hello! We have decided to put on our learning blog the afternoon before the related live lesson. Then, if we have any more technical issues you will be able to leave the live lesson and access the relevant work immediately.

We are very impressed with how you are all managing this new way of learning and thank you for the work you have already sent in to us. Try to remember to have the work from the day before with you when you join a live lesson. We will ask some children to share what they have done at the start of each day.

Please can we just remind you all to only unmute yourself when we have asked you to contribute in the live lesson, as it can be tricky if there is talking over us during the live teaching and this can affect everyone’s sound.  Please remember anything you say can be heard by everyone!

Here are the tasks for today.
