Year 2 experience day.

What we did on Year 2 experience day.

Hello all,

Today in Year 2 we had experience day here is what we have done today.

We were able to start our day with some exciting guests from Rocksteady music who performed many songs and taught us and KS2 about the different instruments that they have in their band. A few of us got to be a part of the band in a workshop, including some teachers, we had the chance to listen to a variety of well-known songs including We will rock you by Queen and Shotgun by George Ezra.

Next, we returned to our classrooms that were empty of chairs and tables. We recycled cardboard boxes to turn them into stylish dens! Our dens had to have enough room for the entire building group and be stable enough to stay standing until the end of the day. Some of our dens had roofs, windows and even a letterbox. As lunch began, the children were excited to have an opportunity to get their lunches and eat inside their dens, carefully!

After lunch, we journeyed to the field and all children had an opportunity to go on the trim trail and played American kickball on the field. Then we ended our day listening to a story in the Butterfly Garden and looking at the video surveillance of the garden and spotted Hedgehogs and Harry the fox.

The children have had an amazing day, their behaviour and attitude were excellent, we hope they enjoyed their experience day.
