Year 2 blog- 27/9/21

A new Year 2 blog.

Last week was another busy week in Year 2.

We were able to complete brilliant instructions on how to make a sandwich in our English lessons.

In History, we have been learning all about Samuel Peyps and the Great Fire of London and how to order the main events.

Please remember to bring in any cardboard boxes around the size of a cereal box, we would appreciate any you can supply, they can either be cubes or cuboids.

In maths, we have been focusing on counting in our 2s, 5s and 10s and next week will be testing the children for the first time on their 10 times tables. The children will need to practice at home, as they have to get 25 out of 25 in 2 minutes and 30 seconds in order to move onto the next times tables level. The questions will be written both ways round and out of order, please practice writing the answers down with your children, not just verbally.

An example would be 2x10=       5x10=      10x11=   10x2=     10x5=   11x10=
