Y2 Back to School

Information about the return to school for Year 2.

Firstly, we would like to thank the parents for the on-going support over the last few months. We are immensely proud of the children in Year 2. Their commitment to learning at home and their enthusiasm during the live lessons is admirable, but they would not have been able to do it without support from their adults at home.

We are all very much looking forward to having all of the children back in the classroom on Monday morning - school isn't the same without them!

Please find attached the information that was sent to parents earlier in the week with arrangements for Year 2 children returning to school.

The children will be returning to their normal classes and drop-off and collection will be as it was in December.

We start at 8:50am and finish at 3:05pm

Our PE days are:

Badger Class: Monday and Thursday

Hedgehog Class: Wednesday and Thursday

Squirrel Class: Monday and Wednesday

Please send children into school in their PE clothes on these days as we were doing before.

Squirrel Class and Badger Class please come to school on Monday 8th in PE kit.

We have had our heaters serviced and they are working better, however we will have doors and windows open to ventilate the classroom and this may make it colder than the children are used to.  Please send them dressed for this, with extra layers under their uniform if needed and with an extra jumper or fleece they can put on over the top if they are likely to be cold.

Children should bring in a  coat and a bottle of water each day. Please make sure bottles are named and have a sports cap to prevent spillages.

We will be aiming to change the childrens' books and review book boxes on their return to school.  Please do bear with us as we work through this as it is likely to take us a couple of days to get through everyone.

We have been informed by Fiesta Sports that before and after school clubs will resume after the Easter holiday.

Please email your child's class teacher if you or your child have any concerns or worries at all.
