Y2 Home Learning Wednesday 24.2.21

Here is the Y2 Home Learning for Wednesday 24.2.21

Next week’s optional project is DT: food. The second session will involve tasting fruit, and the penultimate session will involve making a fruit salad. If you would like to take part in this optional project, and you are doing your shopping before the weekend, you might like to pop some extra, or different, fruit into your shopping trolley. We have recommended that the children use up to four different pieces of fruit in their final fruit salad. If you don’t have access to additional fruit please don’t worry, whatever fruit that you usually have will work perfectly, alternatively your child could just do the design sessions.

We will deliver a short phonics lesson, in the live lesson.

After the live lesson you can play any game on Phonics Play related to the sound: ore ( more please ). Username: Thrapston Password: Thrapston

Today, you need to plan your diary entry. Your writing will be about Scaredy Squirrel’s day finding the perfect friend. It needs to be in past tense and first person, you need to pretend you are Scaredy Squirrel. Your picture goes in the top box and your writing goes in the box underneath. If you normally do yellow, you need to verbally order the events to an adult. If you normally do blue, you need to record the main events in chronological order using the planning sheet with 8 event boxes. If you normally do green, you need to include time words in your plan. If you normally do white, then you need to plan your writing on the planning sheet with 12 event boxes, making sure your events are in chronological order.
