In Thursday’s English lesson, the children will use their plans (from Tuesday) and their introductions (from Wednesday) to write the first part of their recount (they should write the first part today, as they will write the second part tomorrow).

On Thursday we will be solving problems involving division, including division by 2, 5 and 10. This will be a chance to continue to practise sharing and/or counting in multiples skills to solve divisions. It will also involve arrays and linking multiplication and division facts (white) and being sure we write the statements correctly.

We are continuing our look at materials. This week, we are going to investigate what materials would be suitable to make a boat! Look at the video lesson, on the blog, which starts with a poem about Jumblies who went to sea in a sieve! Do you think that is a good idea? What materials would you use to make a boat, and why? What materials would you NOT use to make a boat and why?
