Remember to keep practising your spellings and times tables each week. The spelling lists are in the gallery and if you want any spelling activities we have some that Mrs Hodge has prepared that you can ask for, please remind us of the list you are currently on as you may have moved on. Also, make sure you are still reading and aiming for 5 times a week and you can continue to record this in your home reading diary or on a piece of paper to keep track of your fabulous reading skills. You could even record a video of you reading a story or take a picture of you and your favourite book for the gallery. 


Phonics  - part of the live lesson 

We will deliver a short phonics lesson, in the live lesson.   

After the live lesson you can play any game on Phonics Play related to the sound: au  (haunted house). Username: Thrapston Password: Thrapston

English  - part of the live lesson 

On Wednesday, your child should write the introduction to their recount. The introduction to a recount is very short, so if they are part of the live lesson, they will probably get it completely written during the lesson. All children will need to have an introduction written, ready for tomorrow’s lesson.  

LO: To be able to write a recount introduction. 

Say ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘when’ and ‘why’. (yellow) 

Write ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘when’ and ‘why’. (blue) 

Use full stops and capital letters. (blue) 

Write concisely.(green) 

Check for tricky spellings. (white)

Maths - introduced in the live lesson 

On Wednesday, we will be using our knowledge of counting in 5s to solve division problems in a context. The children will also be able to continue to practise their sharing into groups as a strategy to solve divisions if they need to.

Listen to the story ‘Buddy the Dog’s Internet Safety Story’ :  

When you have listened to the story, design your own safe game that you might play on a tablet. Remember to make sure it doesn’t include anything that would make Buddy worried. You could use the tablet template below, or draw your own.
