In the live lesson, we practiced the join ‘ed‘
Practise writing the words below, with neat handwriting: bed, fed, shed, fled, egg, leg, head, red, Meg.
LO: To be able to improve handwriting.
Know how to form the letters e and d. (yellow)
Form letters e and d correctly starting and finishing in the correct place. (blue)
Place letters e and d correctly on the line. (green)
Use the join for the letters ed correctly. (white)

On Friday, we are learning about subordinating conjunctions. In the resources, you will find one document with all three colour levels – choose the appropriate colour-level for your child. (If your child usually does yellow, they should use the blue sheet, but they might need a hand reading the sentences.)

On Friday, we will be solving word problems which involve multiplication. The children will need to think about what the question is asking them to do and what information is already given to them in the question. They will then need to write a number sentence to show what operation they are going to perform. This will need to be a multiplication but the children may also write the repeated addition to show their understanding.
If they are working on the blue activity they could use practical apparatus. On green level we will be expecting the children to draw out groups or arrays to prove their answers (there may be number facts they know and if they do the calculation mentally they can put a ‘M’ next to it to show us the facts they are remembering). White activity the children will be using some known facts to help them solve these problems but they will need to explain verbally to an adult or write down how they came to their answer.

Think back to your special item that you thought about in the very first RE lesson in home learning. Remember how carefully you look it and treat it. The video clip will show you how Jewish people take very good care of the Torah in their place of worship, which is called a synagogue. Watch the clip and have a go at answering the question underneath.
