In Wednesday’s lesson, we will be learning how to choose ‘powerful verbs’ to make sentences more specific. In the documents, you will find a blue activity and a green activity. If doing blue, your child should choose the appropriate verb and write it in the box. If your child is doing green then they should match the correct powerful verb with the correct boring verb. If your child is doing white, then they should choose the powerful verbs from the green sheet and use them in a sentence.

Watch the PowerPoint video: There are lots of questions and thinking points. If possible, your child will need someone to discuss the questions with. If this is not possible, it is still worth watching the PowerPoint video as Miss Beasley gives an answer to each question. You will also need to be able to pause the video after each question to have time to think about it. There is no writing equipment needed.

If there is time after the PowerPoint video, draw a picture of one of the fairy tale characters doing the right thing to help Goldilocks. You could include speech bubbles to show what the characters are saying.
