On Tuesday, we are learning how to add the suffix ‘ness’. In the documents, you will find one document with all the colour levels. If doing yellow, then your child should read/ say the sentences with the correct noun. If doing blue, then your child should put the correct nouns in the sentences. If doing green, then your child should turn the adjectives into nouns, then write them in the correct sentence. If doing white, then your child should turn the adjectives into nouns, then use them in their own sentences.  

LO: To be able to use suffix ending ‘ness’ to create nouns. 

Say the nouns. (Yellow)

Use nouns in a sentence. (Blue)

Create nouns using the suffix ‘ness’.  (Green)

Know all rules for using the suffix ‘ness’. (White)

Maths   

Please remember that the children should be practising their times tables each week. They can also practise counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. 

On Tuesday, we will be looking at images of groups and word problems to generate multiplication sentences/statements. We will then be calculating the answers. We will also talk briefly about the importance of the groups being equal when we multiply.  

The differentiated activities are included at the end of the blog.

Reading Comprehension

This week’s reading comprehension is ‘British Wildlife ‘. Please read the text and answer the questions in full sentences.  

 If your child usually does Blue work in school, they should do the 1 star; if they usually do the Green work in school, they should do the 2 star; and if they usually do the White work, then they should do 2 stars.
