Today’s English task is for the children to write the second half of their quest story. In the live lesson, we will recap everything that the children need to know for writing their quest story, as well as how to edit and improve their story. The Learning Objective and Success Criteria are the same as yesterday.

If your child has finished their story, and they are happy that they have included as many of the Success Criteria points as they can, they could do an illustration for their story. Only if there is time!

If you miss any of the live lesson, the narrated PowerPoint video can be found here:

On Friday, the children will be learning about multiplication. The children have already been learning multiplication facts by heart for our weekly tests in school. However, we are going to look at how and why multiplication statements are written the way they are and different ways to represent multiplication statements. The first lesson is practical and hopefully should be a fun way to start our work on understanding multiplication. The children will be using the statements given and represent them in different ways. For example, they might have the statement 3 x 5 =   and they will find the cars to show this, this can be shown as 3 cars in 5 groups or 5 cars in 3 groups. You can then take photos of some of the different ways that your children have represented the statements to show us.

If you miss the live lesson, the narrated PowerPoint can be found here:
