A Year Two Update

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

After a busy week in Year 2 we thought we would share some of what Y2 have been up to this week.

In English lessons this week, we have been working hard to use our English skills to create letter's to Santa and what we would like for Christmas. This will be continuing next week as we look to finish our wonderful letters and our brilliant writing.

In Maths, we have begun to learn how to add  3 one digit numbers and numbers to 100. The children are doing really well, and have begun to be able to apply their skills quickly and accurately.

In RE, we have continued learning about the Nativity and we were all impressed by our retelling of the story.

In Science, we have continued to learn about our materials and which objects around us are made from.

Last week, it was amazing to see everyone in their brilliant jumpers on Friday, everyone was filled with festive cheer and we all look forward to this continuing into our last week at our school for 2020.  We are all looking forward to our Christmas parties this week, and a reminder that December 14th is the last day to get our Christmas cards in for all classes.

Thank you for your continued support with reading, spellings and times tables. It is wonderful to see the children making progress with their times tables, and spellings. The children also love to receive reading raffle tickets: we will draw the raffle on the last day of term.

Best wishes,

Year 2 Team
