This week we have concluded our work on fantasy stories in English as well as continuing to tell the time in Maths.  We have been thinking about the features of our local area in Geography and research skills to answer our own questions in Science.  We have also been painting in Art ready to build on this picture over the coming weeks.  We have been so impressed with the continued hard work from all of the children in Year 1.

 

The Commendation Award winners this week are:

Hattie for taking her time to create a detailed story plan picture and writing her story carefully, making a great new middle and end part  for the story.

Domingos for creating a realistic colour wash for the background of his seascape. He chose and blended the colours carefully with a clear foreground and background. What an artist!

The Confetti Award winners this week are:

Alfie for always being willing to help others in the class, but showing particular kindness to another child struggling with her laces and offering to help without prompting at all.

JJ for considering the safety of everyone in the class by making sure chairs are tucked under,  so we can all travel around the classroom safely. Well done.
