Y1 Home Learning Thursday 4.3.21

Here are the Year 1 tasks for Thursday 4.3.21.  Please also see the World Book Day blog for other activities you might like to carry out today too.

English– Live Online session 9:00 – 10:30

LO: To be able to write a diary.

I know that a diary is writing about something ‘I’ have done.

I can use a capital for ‘I’

I can use days of the week.

I can write in sentences.

I can use the past tense.

I can join ideas using ‘and’.

Using the attached diary checklist and their plan from yesterday, children should talk through what they did each day. Then, recording the day first then should write their diary entry for the day. Complete their diary entry.




LO: To be able to add lengths.

I can add cubes to find the total of 2 lengths.

I can count on to find the total of 2 lengths.

I can use length to decide which objects have been added together.

I can use reasoning to solve length problems.

Your child should know which group they go to for phonics. If they are unsure, please contact us and we will let you know.  Below are the sounds that the children can practice next using some of the links below.

You should have been emailed the link for the live session for your child’s group.  If you do not have this then please contact their class teacher and they will send you the correct link as each link is different for each group.
