This week you are thinking about step-by-step instructions for a common task.  We are going to be thinking food based as we will be becoming TV chefs later in this unit, however you might also like to think about step-by-step instructions for other tasks around your home.

Tasks:

  1. Watch an adult at home making you a healthy snack or your lunch.  What are the steps they need to carry out?  Can you remember them in order?
  2. Create your own healthy snack recipe.  This could be overnight oats, fruit kebabs, salad jars, pasta salad, fruit salad or anything else that you can think of.  Once you have decided on your recipe draw out the sequence of steps needed to make it.
  3. Then, without food yet, practice the sequence of steps by acting it out, following your pictures.  Have you remembered all the steps in your sequence?
