DT – To assemble the components of my structure.

Today we will be attaching the turbine element to our simple structure from last week and putting all of the components together. You will need a stick, pipe cleaner or something similar, to act as your axel.

  1. Using the turbine template sheet, make the holes and then cut out your template, only cutting on the lines.
  2. Using the pipe cleaner or ‘axel’ poke it through the back of the template, to the front and then carefully join each blade to the axel.
  3. Once all of the blades have been attached, attach the nuts onto the front and back of the turbine element.
  4. Now make two holes at the front and back of your structure from last week and attach the axel, bending it at the back to make a lever.
  5. Now attach the roof.

PSHE – L.O: To understand how I learn well and can celebrate achievements.

This week we will begin our lesson by using Jigsaw Jack and his chime to calm our mind and bodies and listen to the calm me script.  We will also explore some monster meditation today.

Recapping on our last lessons we have been setting ourselves a small goal and working out how we can achieve them. Today we will design our own stepping stones to help us achieve our goals.  After that we will be reflecting on some of our own personal achievements over the last few weeks. Please watch the teaching video for guidance.
