Y1 Remember, Remember the 5th November!

In the absence of regular Bonfire Night celebrations this year we have been learning rhymes and making our own 'fireworks' and pictures in school.  We have been using our senses to think of all the things we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell on Bonfire Night to write a senses poem.  We have attached the rhymes used as well as the instructions for our fireworks.  There are some other craft ideas you may like to do along with some other science firework experiments you may like to try at home.  The children really liked the smell of the chocolate powder reminding them of hot chocolate and we had a wax that smelt just like a bonfire burning which they were all less keen on.

Please see our Gallery of work to look at our pictures, fireworks and poems!
