Getting ready for Christmas

We have started thinking about how to get ready for Christmas within Reception by beginning our advent calendars. Each class has their own advent calendar and EVERY child will get a turn to be selected. They are then able to choose a gift from the class treasure box, which has a wide range of prizes.

There will be more decorations and activities to excite the children over the next couple of weeks too.

Dates for your diary -

Friday 11th December is Christmas Jumper Day. Please let your child come in non-uniform but the more festive the better!

This is also the day we are hoping to film our Christmas singing - if you haven't sent back your permission slip please can you do so as soon as possible or your child will not be able to take part.

Monday 14th December  - last day for Christmas cards to be delivered to school. We will be putting lists in your child's book bag so they can select who they wish to send cards to IF you would like them to.

Please could your child also come with a named carrier bag on this day so we can put their cards in on the last day. Also all the Christmas craft they will have made can come home this way - less glitter in the book bag!

Tuesday 15th December is our Christmas party day - all you need to do is send your child in some party clothes - but remember they will also be having a normal morning and lunchtime so nothing too precious and ensure it is warm enough for playtime.

Friday 18th December is the last day of term!

Children return to school on the Wednesday 6th January 2021.

Just a reminder - the best way to contact the teachers other than on the playground is through email.
