Wow, what a busy first term!
It is lovely to see that the new children have settled well into nursery, and are having lots of fun, playing and learning with their new friends.
As the season transitioned from summer into autumn, we were able to learn lots about the changes happening outside. We went on an autumn hunt, talked about harvest, made scarecrows and planted bulbs ready for springtime. We also read the story of The Little Red Hen and baked our own bread.
Another highlight from this term was enjoying the story of Handa’s Surprise. This led to discussions about which fruits we did and did not like. To continue with the theme, Morrisons kindly donated a large fruit box to us. All of the children were able to explore the range of fruit and to cut it up to make their own fruit salads, which they then ate for snack.
We hope you are having a restful week at home in preparation for another busy term. We have lots to look forward to, including our Nursery Sing-a-Long and the Christmas experience trip to West Lodge!
Lastly, we would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and carers for their continued support.
Miss Emerson :)
