A welcome back message for our Nursery children and their families
We hope you had a super Easter break and all the chocolate eating has given you lots of energy for the term ahead.
We have loved seeing pictures and videos of the different things that your children have been doing over the holidays and thank you for sending them in, each observation has earned your child a raffle ticket for our book prize so keep them coming!
It’s a long term, with 7 weeks of fun ahead of us, but we also wanted to remind you of a couple of dates when school is not open to the children. Friday 30th April is a teacher training day and Monday 3rd May is a bank holiday.
This term our main topic is People Who Help Us and we would like you to talk to your child about who these people may be. Your child may talk about people who help them at home e.g. parents, grandparents, child minders etc. or those who help us in the wider community e.g. police officers, dentists, shop assistants, builders.
Our first week back will see the children learning about vets and caring for animals. In preparation for this please can your child watch the Let’s Play Veterinarian episode https://video.link/w/xWNic If you have any pets at home please talk to your child about how you care for them and what the role of a vet is. You could send a photo of your child’s pet to the ILD and they can tell us about how they care for their pet or even tell us about a time their pet had to go to the vets.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do contact one of the team via email or speak to us in person at the beginning or end of your child’s Nursery session.
We have lots of brilliant activities planned for this term, we can’t wait to share more fun times with you!
The Nursery Team 😊
