Nursery Update

We have had a busy start to the week visiting lots of you at home and we want to thank you for allowing us the time to come and meet you and your child. We are really looking forward to seeing you again, either at the ‘stay and play’ sessions or your usual Nursery session.

We just wanted to give some reminders, as we know there is lots of information to take in.

Please remember to keep an eye out on our blog, as is this is our main source of contacting Nursery parents/families on mass.

At the bottom of the Nursery page you can find information regarding what your child will be learning about this term and we would appreciate you becoming familiar with this. https://www.thrapston-primary.northants.sch.uk/page/?title=Nursery&pid=248

Stay and Play

Stay and play sessions will last approximately 1hr 30mins and a grown-up must stay with their children for this session, although there is no expectation that you both must stay for the whole period. Please wear a face covering during your time in the Nursery building.

You will need to get onto the school grounds via the main driveway. Walk up to the Nursery building to drop your child off and then back down the drive to exit. Please be mindful of other families and maintain social distancing.

Drop Offs

1 adult can bring their child into the Nursery cloakroom and we will only allow 4 families at one time. Please sanitise on entering the building and wear a face covering in the cloakroom.

Morning Session Drop Off

To drop your child off in at Nursery for a 9am start you will need to get onto the school grounds via the entrance opposite the Peace Park. Follow the alley up, cross the Year 1/2 playground and head to the red gates on the other side of the playground and you will be at the Nursery building. After dropping your child off you will need to walk down the driveway to exit.

11:30 or 12:30 Pick Up or Drop Off

Due to children on site the Peace Park entrance will be closed.

You will need to get onto the school grounds via the main driveway. Walk up to the Nursery building for drop off and then back down the drive to exit. Please be mindful of other families and maintain social distancing.

End of day pick up

After dropping your child off you will need to walk down the driveway to exit.

ILD

Please ensure that you have signed up to the Interactive Learning Diary using the unique code in your child’s starter pack. You will then begin receiving observations of your child’s time in school.

Key Dates

Please could you upload a photo of your child and their family to the ILD before Monday 14th September. We will then share these during group times as a way of getting to know your child.

We will be exploring the colour red starting from the week beginning the 14th September. Please remember to upload pictures of your child’s findings, as well as anything they have said about them, to the ILD.

Please remember to put the ‘All About Me’ booklets in the box in the cloakroom before Wednesday 16th September, so that we can quarantine the booklets in enough time to begin sharing them the following week. All other forms that need to be returned to school can also go in this box.
