We hope you had lots of fun learning the previous nursery rhyme ‘Tommy Thumb’, we could tell from all of the wiggly and bendy fingers that you have been practising at home, so thank you for your continued support.
To finish off our first topic ‘Marvellous Me’ we are planning on having a superhero day on Thursday 22nd October to celebrate all of the super things about ourselves.
We hope you had lots of fun learning the previous nursery rhyme at home, we certainly enjoyed singing it on the stage in our outside area and during group times.
This week’s colour of the week is blue.
This term we will be taking part in a rhyming challenge. It is designed to enhance a child’s early language skills and promote a love of rhymes and early poetry. The challenge is to learn 10 traditional nursery rhymes over a set period of time. We will add the words to a blog, along with a video for the tune, so that you can practise them at home and then we will sing them during group times. At the end of the challenge, the children receive a certificate for taking part.
We have had a busy start to the week visiting lots of you at home and we want to thank you for allowing us the time to come and meet you and your child. We are really looking forward to seeing you again, either at the ‘stay and play’ sessions or your usual Nursery session.
