Y5 Super Science, English and Art work by Erin in Cliff Class

Erin has competed some wonderful work researching the science work set, looking into the topic of plastics. Initially she completed a plastics diary and listed everything her family  use during a week that contains plastics, which included going through the food cupboards.

This then lead to Erin noticing that Tesco own brand cereal had plastics bags whereas the branded cereals used paper packaging...so she decided to write to the CEO of Tesco (letter below). Well let you know if she get's a reply!

She then decided to look at what art she could do after watching the blue planet program and looking into plastics in the sea. Erin has competed a collage of a sea scene, where the fish, dolphin and turtle are made from plastics. The coral is made from pipe cleaners and miniature wool pompoms. The sea is made from strips of wool. It is wonderful , don't you agree? Her Dad  thinks he will frame it and put it in her bedroom wall.
