Primary School

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Happy Christmas! It has been a busy few weeks but we continue to be incredibly proud of our amazing children.

Today, we have enjoyed visiting St James’ church and watching the Nativity. The children enjoyed listening to the story, exploring the church and singing songs.

This week we have continued to work hard and have written explanations and translated shapes.

Remember we are having our Christmas Party on Monday afternoon – don’t forget to bring your food and party clothes.

We have given out our Christmas ‘holiday homework’ – we hope you enjoy ticking off our fun challenges.

To help maths skills, we have put an amazing resource on our Year 6 area that the children can access from any computer or tablet (we will show them where this is on our school website before the holidays!) The idea of the resource is to allow children to select a topic of maths they struggle with, click on some questions and practise their skills. If they struggle, there is a YouTube icon in each corner of the question, where a video will appear and a visual tutorial will guide and show them how to solve the question. Please encourage your child to look at these questions (they are only a few minutes long). This is a great way to revise methods we do in class.

In the New Year, we will be having some Gymnastic coaches coming in to deliver a session each week. We can’t wait to have a go on the apparatus!

Have a relaxing and fun-filled break.
