  • Hello from Year 4!

    Published 25/11/16, by Jack Davies

We have had another busy week in Year Four.

The children are beginning to make their money containers so if your child wants to bring in their own material, or something special to add to their design, please feel free to do so.

Tudor Christmas is fast approaching. Please remember to find a Tudor outfit. The day will consist of making different Tudor things, preparing a Tudor feast (Brown bread rolls, cheese and fruit) and learning some Tudor dances, plays and songs.

The homework this week is to disguise a turkey so that it does not get eaten at Christmas. We hope you have fun!

We also have a bauble for each child to decorate to hang on the tree for Christmas. Remember to ask for yours if you havent got one yet.

    Published 09/09/16, by Admin

Year 4 have had a great first week back! We have got lots of exciting topics this term and everyone has settled in really well. We have really enjoyed working with straws – grouping numbers to understand the place value of 4-digit numbers – and learning about subitising. We have started learning about fables – and can have been particularly good at working out the morals of different fables we have read.

Don’t forget that your homework projects are due in on Friday 16th September, and French and Maths homework has gone home today – due in Wednesday 14th!!

We hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend to recharge your batteries – we certainly will be!!
