Halfway Point!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Mrs. Aldwinckle who is now working in Legend class as Mrs. Bromley gave birth to baby Ethan on 23rd December.

We have had an exciting and successful term, developing our understanding of multiplying, dividing and working with fractions. We are able to calculate the area of many different shapes. In English, we used the Pixar film, the Blue Umbrella, as a model for our own stories, using a variety of sentence structures and exciting vocabulary. We are currently reading Sky Song by Abi Elphinstone, which the children are all thoroughly enjoying.

A highlight was this week's bread-making, with all the children creating delicious, and in some cases, colourful culinary delights!

Thank you for all your support in helping your children in both their times tables, reading and spelling. We have been very impressed by the progress made.

We hope you all have a wonderful half term, we are very much looking forward to hearing the children’s poems next term.
