Merry Christmas Everyone!

We have had a fantastic final few weeks celebrating Christmas and enjoying lots of fun!

The children have been working so hard to learn about different styles of poetry. We looked at the poem ''Twas the night before Christmas' and then the children worked with a partner to create their own set of rhyming couplets based around the theme of Christmas. We then put all of these together to create our class poem. Take a look below.

The children also looked at acrostic poems and as well as making their own Christmas acrostic poem, they have also written some fantastic pieces based the theme of 'family'. These have been sent home as part of their calendars. I'm sure you will agree that the children have done exceedingly well with these!

This week, we have also had to work as detectioves to solve the mystery of the missing Christmas pudding! We had to solve different clues to cross off elves from our suspect list until we found out the culprit. This was great fun and the children all worked hard! Take a look at some of our fun below.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very relaxing and merry Christmas and a happy new year! See you all in 2018!
