Welcome to Year 2!
The Hedgehog class have had a great first week back!
The children have settled in well to the new routines and have been working very hard. They have brought in some fantastic projects from home and have enjoyed sharing them with the class. We now have a lovely Habitats display at the back of the classroom.
The highlight of the week has been a visit from a company called The Natural World Experience. The children were able to meet lots of different minibeasts and some of them were even brave enough to hold a tarantula! We saw giant snails, stick insects, moths, lizards, snakes and cockroaches. In the afternoon, we went on a minibeast hunt on the school field where we found spiders, ladybirds, woodlice and sheild bugs. The children also spent time researching facts and taking close up photos. It was a very memorable day.
Photos to follow next week.
