A Little Taste Of Africa
To culminate our geography topic of Kenya, we decided to have a food tasting afternoon.
Children were asked to record the appearance, taste and texture of the food and then gave each dish a score out of 10.
We had Kashata (a caramel coconut crunch), bajias (sliced potato), jollof (a spiced rice dish), vegetable samosas, naan bread and fruit with spiced honey.
The children thoroughly enjoyed tasting the different food from another culture. We were very proud of lots of children who tried food which they were initially reluctant to try.
